Bichon Frise (pronounced BEE-shon Free-Zay) is French for “fluffy little dog”.
Bichons stand at 9.5 to 11.0 inches at the shoulder. Bichons first found their home with nobility in the Mediterranean countries. These little dogs get along with anyone and everyone including other animals and strangers. The Bichons white undercoat is soft and thick with the outer coat being curlier and stiffer. His coat does not shed, so they make wonderful companions for persons with allergies. Even though his coat is not high maintenance, he will need professional grooming.

After spending time searching to find an appropriate sized, dark eyed Bichon for our home, I became aware of the declining quality of the breed within the surrounding area. After some time I located Bichon Frises that were just what I wanted. Only breeding Bichons on occasion, we do have puppies available sometimes. My Bichons were purchased within the states and weigh between 9-12 pounds. They have beautiful dark pigment on both the nose and around the eyes. Of course, they have personality plus as well. Our Bichons are registered with the AKC. Do let us know if finding the perfect Bichon is something that we can help you do.
