Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is England’s most popular breed.  These dogs are recorded as living with the royalty as early as the 1500’s, but didn’t arrive in America until 1956.  Some of the people who have owned them are Nancy Regan, Frank Sinatra & Diane Sawyer.  These dogs come in four colors.  We have the tri-color (black & white with tan markings) & Blenheim (chestnut red and white) and the rare ruby (a rich solid reddish brown) and black/tan (deep black with tan markings).  Breed standards say these dogs should be 12 to 13 inches at the withers and weigh from 13 to 18 pounds.

Cavaliers are active, graceful dogs and will follow you around all day, are eager to please and adaptable to most lifestyles.  Their soft, gentle faces and big eyes make it hard to resist any plea.    They have a sporting instinct and will hunt and retrieve when given the opportunity.  They love water like many other spaniels.  Many Cavaliers enjoy agility and field game competition.

The Cavaliers rarely bark and don’t make good guard dogs.  They need human companionship more than most breeds, so they make great therapy and helper dogs. Expected lifespan ranges from 9-12 years.

Parent Stock

Our Cavalier King Charles parent stock was purchased here in the states.  We are proud of their fine ancestors.  The parents are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC).  We strive to breed the best pets with top notch Cavalier personalities and confirmation.  We have all four colors – tri color, Blenheim, ruby and black/tan available.  All puppies are current on wormings and vaccinations.  They each have an AVID microchip inserted between the shoulder blades for positive identification. They have their dew claws removed.
