Breeds with an Occasional Litter

It is on special occasion that we bred rare breed dogs that we have in our family homes. With everyone in the family having their own niche in the purebred world of dogs these, high quality, spoiled rotten pets occasionally produce a litter. They too deserve a spot on our website, but litters are not as frequent as our other breeds that we may have more than one female of. Please do feel free to ask when our next planned litter will be.

Border Terrier
The Border Terriers weigh up to 15 pounds, are alert and lively although very mild mannered. The border terrier is especially affectionate with children and wants to please. They are a scruffy little terrier who requires very little grooming. Bred to hunt fox on foot, these dogs are quick to curl up on our laps once a hunting session is over. Ours are imports of England and maintain the awesome health of imported dogs.

Cavachon
This cross of our little Blenheim Cavalier King Charles and the Bichon Frise produces a puppy with the sweet disposition and adorable eyes of the Cavalier along with the non-shed and playfulness of the Bichon. They are the best of both breeds and make a wonderful family pet. Because both parents are AKC registered, they are registered with the ACHA to assure you are getting a wonderful hybrid puppy.

Cavaton
Our “Cavatons” have wormed their way right into the hearts of many families. One of the parents of a Cavaton is a white non shedding, imported Coton de Tulear while the other parent is an imported Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. These babies carry the cavalier markings, yet will not shed like a cavalier does. Their haircoat will be fluffier than that of a Cavalier. Many families prefer Cavatons - more colorful than a white Coton, yet who can beat that Cavalier personality? The Coton haircoat blends well with the Cavalier haircoat.A Cavaton will need regular grooming sessions including weekly brushing and clipping sessions at the grooming parlor. We have found their adult body weight to be on the upper end of that of the Cavalier, meaning in the 16-18 pound range. We are able to register this litter with ACHC, thus insuring that you are indeed getting a Cavaton from two registered, purebred dogs both of whom carry three generation pedigrees.

Havaton
The popularity of our “Havatons” has grown immensely. They have a striking purebred registered Havanese parent as well as an imported purebred registered white Coton de Tulear parent. Given their parents’ purebred registered status, these puppies are eligible for registration with the ACHC. The Havanese and the Coton de Tulear stem from the same roots (the Bichon family) and mimic each other in size, stature, personality, playfulness, obedience, training, etc. The Havanese often adds color to the mix as most generally Cotons are white.

Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen
The PBGV tends to be easy-going, but self willed and passionate. They are a happy breed as their tails are always wagging and they seem to be smiling all of the time. They do not tend to shed. They stand 13-15 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 25-40 pounds. They freely use their voices as a hunter must know where the hound pack has gone through sound. They are NOT related to the Basset hounds.

Shih Tzu/Bichon
Teddy Bear puppies. Her babies were fathered by our Shih Tzu male. One of the fantastic qualities of these wonderful companions is their non shedding coats which are a thick mass of ultra soft waves which are generally kept relatively short, “puppy cut” style. They have a wonderful sense of playfulness and a great love of toys as the Bichons do as well as a snuggly side from the Shih Tzus. They are friendly, highly social, kid friendly, sturdy, calm dogs which are truly a great mix. You will enjoy the length of nose that the Bichon brings to the mix as the Teddy Bears will not have the snort and sinus problems that some Shih Tzus can. Their noses and faces are not extremely long on the other hand either, giving them a plump, full teddy bear appearance. They are non-shedding, current on vaccinations & have an AVID microchip implanted for their protection. They also have a one year health guarantee. Thank you for looking at our much loved babies.
