Minnie (Minifred Pupsodent) the Goldendoodle

I researched dog traits, and concluded that a Goldendoodle was what I wanted. I then discovered that finding a breeder with the combination of "reputable", "affordable", and "available" was not easy. And, like most people, I was nervous selecting a pup over the internet. But, I called, and Barb walked me through the process. After phone calls & emails, when I physically arrived at Heartland Classics, I was surprised to find the cleanest kennel I've ever seen in an ideal rural environment. Heartland Classics is what you imagine a kennel SHOULD be, and every promise Barb made was kept, including advice after the sale. My oldest granddaughter & I managed to find an open road out of the Boulder, CO area flooding on Sept. 20th to drive 670 miles to pick up "the smallest, but certainly not the least" of a litter of Goldendoodles ("Cha-Cha" at that time). Minnie was "on the road" for the next 3 days after we picked her up, beginning with an outdoor wedding on a ranch, socializing with another puppy (6 months old), and learning things from a 5 year old Blue Heeler. By the time Minnie got to her permanent home, she had learned to fetch, was addicted to playing with small children, and responded to "Minnie". She then proceeded to house break herself (haven't had an "accident" in over a month ... ). She does love to steal socks, but has never destroyed or damaged anything. She picks only _her_ toys from the array of stuffed animals my younger grandchildren keep in my living room, and is friends with one of my cats to the point that she shares food (chicken & rice for breakfast, daily). She loves long walks (5-7 miles), the vet said she's one of the healthiest pups anybody has brought in, and obviously comes from a good line. She's learned "sit" and "heel" (she now brings the leash to me), with never a cross word uttered in the process. I now have a 19 week old puppy that fetches, loves people (kids especially), listens and wants to learn, adores "cuddling", and just this morning ran out and brought the newspaper in all by herself. In other words, Barb breeds perfect dogs. If you know what you want in a breed, you can't go wrong with Heartland Classics. I've had dogs for 50 years. This may be the best one yet. http://www.smallgroks.net/?page_id=988, if you want pictures!
