We Love Our Puppy!

Let me be the first to say that I HATE dogs! I have never been around dogs nor have I EVER had any desire to own a dog! The smell, they shed, they're loud, and they tend to favor one person. That said, I met my Mom's Coton and thought "If my wife and kids want a dog, I MAY be able to do this." My Mom, with no prior experience with Barb, recommended Barb based upon her proximity to Omaha. We checked out Heartland and were very impressed. The place was clean, organized and Barb's knowledge very quickly answered all of our questions and put us at ease with the possibility of getting a puppy. Additionally, Barb was very good at explaining the introduction of a Coton into a cat household (I didn't want them either BUT I love my wife!). I was the one who picked and named our little boy Zeke. This little guy has melted my heart - to the point my wife is confused as to who she married - and I am so happy we adopted him! I love the family life I had prior and never thought it possible it could improve but this little guy has made our home even more loving! Cotons have hair so they don't shed and I have horrible allergies), he doesn't smell, he's not too loud - heck, he even engages in conversation with you! He loves us all and moves from person to person to give/receive love. He's smart - rang the potty bells on our front door after 12 hrs of training! In comparing costs associated with getting our Cotons, my Mom paid $1000 more and got LESS - not as many shots, no microchip, no weekly photos of the dog after she was born, etc. Barb, her staff, and her facility are top notch! Now, I cannot see myself without a Coton for the remainder of my life. I love my Zeke and I'll ALWAYS go back to Heartland!
